Desert Sailor

So I spent the first part of 2014 sailing on Lake Pleasant on a 26' Laguna.

Even entered the Transloch Race sponsored by the Arizona Yacht Club placing 3rd. My crew deserves most of the credit! Shorty was the snacktition, Jim Lee, the safety officer, and Todd Kapp, the tactitian, though we argued a lot about that. OK so we had a lot of fun and had to repair the genoa twice! Thanks to Lou Lefebvre for sacrificing a thumb to sew it back together. Then we replaced it with a new sail! Wow, what a difference! Had fun getting the halyard down when the old sail blew out. Fished it down with a treble hook on a boat hook and lots of guide lines.

And then finally pulled it out of the lake for the summer.
